Markowitz & Piro was established in 1994. We have our primary office at 500 Mamaroneck Avenue, Harrison, New York. Mediations also may be scheduled in White Plains.

Clare A. Piro
Clare A. Piro is an attorney who began practicing law in 1984.  Her practice has been devoted to family law, real estate and estate matters.  

Clare was always an advocate of mediation to resolve family conflict, and she decided in 2005 to stop litigating and to limit her family law practice to mediation and collaborative law.  She continues to devote a substantial amount of her time to mediation but also maintains a real estate and estate and trust practice.

Clare is a member of the Board of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation and the Chair of their Membership Committee.  She is a Certified Mediator with the Westchester Mediation Center, which provides mediation of custody and visitation cases through the Westchester County Family Court.  She was also selected to serve on the roster of the newly formed panel of divorce mediators in the Westchester Supreme Court Matrimonial Mediation Program.

Clare has helped many families resolve their conflicts through the peaceful process of mediation and achieve an agreement that best meets the needs of the entire family.

Gerald H. Markowitz
Gerald H. Markowitz is a graduate of Harvard Law School and was admitted to the practice of law in New York State in 1956. His practice is dedicated to residential and commercial real estate matters and estate planning.

Theodore J. Brundage
Theodore J. Brundage, of counsel, to Markowitz & Piro is a graduate of Pace Law School and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1981. A skilled trial attorney, Ted’s practice focuses on criminal law and civil litigation.
